Domestic EPCs

The Energy Performance Certificate or EPC is a document designed to help reduce our domestic energy consumption by promoting greater awareness of the energy efficiency of our properties. As a company we have produced thousands of Domestic EPCs and it is in fact our speciality. Since the borth of Horizon we have produced EPCs on almost every type, size and shape of domestic property in Bristol and as such we are viewed as experts in our field.

Every domestic property in the UK now requires an EPC when it is either sold or let as part of the marketing materials available so the EPC is a valuable assent to any home owner or landlord. An accurate EPC clearly shows what the projected running costs of the property will be along side what improvements can be made to deliver efficiencies.

In the current economic climate with high fuel costs and a depressed property market a good rating can make all the difference when trying to sell or rent your property. SO it is important to ensure that your EPC is accurate and reflects the true performance of the building. Using Horizon to provide the EPC for your property will go a long way to achieving this.

The domestic EPC is valid for up to 10 years, but it would always be in a home owners interest to have their certificate updated if they completed any works likely to improve their rating (such as replacing a boiler or adding extra insulation).
